BRIDGEPORT, NE — A Scottsbluff man began his jail sentence Monday after taking a plea deal in a theft case involving a Bridgeport bar.

Febronio Plasencio was sentenced late last week after taking a plea agreement in a case where authorities say he burgled the Riverside Bar and Grill in Bridgeport in December 2019.

Authorities originally charged Plasencio with felony theft, burglary and misdemeanor trespassing.

As a result of the plea deal, the felony theft charge was changed to a misdemeanor and the trespassing charge was dropped, according to court documents. The felony burglary charge remains.

Plasencio was sentenced to 60 days in prison with credit for already serving 15 days. He was also ordered to pay over $4,300 in restitution.
