CHADRON, Neb. -- Northwest Nebraska was among the first spots in the state to see snow heading into the holiday, with Chadron receiving snowfall earlier Friday.
Despite National Weather Service predictions expecting the town to get only up to an inch of snow, multiple reports indicate the city has about four inches of snow on the ground Friday.
Roads were slick and mostly covered throughout the town Friday morning. Residents reported state plows were out on highways in the area.
The southern part of the state is still expected to get most of the snow still to fall through the rest of the weekend.
