Scottsbluff standout heading to England to further his soccer career

A soccer player from the Panhandle is heading to England to further his soccer career.

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. -- A soccer player from the Nebraska Panhandle is heading to England to further his soccer career.

Kade Huck, a 17-year-old standout for Scottsbluff High School, has signed with Macclesfield Football Club, a professional team in the U.K. Macclesfield FC is in the tenth tier of English football, playing in the Northwest Counties League Premier Division.

Huck will play for the team while attending college in Manchester, England, which is about 20 miles from Macclesfield.

He played his sophomore season for the Bearcats, his only year in uniform for his high school squad after his freshman season was canceled due to COVID-19.

Huck is in his third year of high school, but he will graduate a year early before heading over to England in the summer.
