A Pine Ridge man has been sentenced to time served in the theft of a fuel truck from Hay Springs. 30-year old Cole Brewer will now spend 3 years on supervised release after spending the last 9 months behind bars.

Brewer was indicted by a federal grand jury last May and pleaded guilty in September to interstate transport of a stolen vehicle.

Brewer took the fuel truck in June 2020 and drove across the state line onto the Pine Ridge Reservation in June 2020. The truck was discovered by law enforcement and Brewer was taken into custody.
