Natalie Barry dropped a game high 24 points, including the game winning lay-up with 5-seconds left, and the Crawford girls held off a Silver Lake 4th quarter rally to clinch their first state tournament berth since 2015 with a 49-47 win in the D2-6 championship game on Friday.

Crawford trailed by a point at the half 26-25, but the Rams responded by outscoring the Mustangs 13-2 in the 3rd quarter to take a 10-point lead into the final 8 minutes.

The Mustangs slowly chipped away in the 4th until they knotted the score at 47 with under a minute to go. Crawford would run the clock down until setting an isolation play for Barry to give Crawford their 20th victory of the year.

Jasmine Dyer chipped in 10 points for the Rams.

Katelyn Karr scored 18 points for Silver Lake.

On the win Crawford coach Rick Barry said, “I’m so proud of these girls! Everybody did their part to help the team win tonight and I couldn’t be a happier coach.”

Crawford will now wait and see who their first round opponent will be.
