SCOTTSBLUFF - The Scottsbluff Police Department investigated a shots fired incident at the 1900 block of 6th Avenue at approximately 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Police Chief Kevin Spencer says there were five to six shots fired into a residence, but no injuries have been reported. Investigators are seeking information about two subjects seen in the area just prior to and immediately following the shooting.

The individuals were described as white males, one taller than the other, in their late teens to mid-20s. The taller subject was wearing a dark hoody, while the shorter suspect was in a gray hoody. Both possibly armed with handguns.

According to investigators, a vehicle at the scene during the shooting was hit by gunfire and was being processed for evidence. The driver told police he had been in the area waiting for a resident of the home that had been struck when the two subjects approached him and started shooting.

Investigators are collecting video evidence in the area that may be released to the public to assist in the suspects identification. Anyone with information are asked to call Crime Stoppers at (308) 632-STOP (7867) or the Scottsbluff Police Department at (308) 436-5088.
