SIDNEY - Sidney radio stations, 987 The Big Boy and Cheyenne County Country, hosted the 22nd Annual KSID Cruisin' Night on Friday, June 3, 2022.

The event is held every year on the first Friday in June to help mark the beginning of summer vacation in the southern Nebraska Panhandle community.

Everything from GTOs to semi-tractor-trailers, to pickups (new and old) to Chevy Corvettes, appeared on Illinois Street while cruising to music hits from the 1950s and the 1960s on 98.7 FM, 1340 AM and 95.7 FM.

Radio station staff members handed out prizes from participating businesses to cruisers when they were stuck at the red light on the corner of 10th Ave. and Illinois Street.

For the first time in several years, a cruisin' night t-shirt was made available for purchase online. A portion of the proceed benefited Kennedy Roelle, an 11-year-old Leyton Elementary student battling leukemia.

Mark your calendars for the 23rd Annual KSID Cruisin' Night. It's scheduled for Friday, June 2nd, 2023.
