PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) — Quarterback Josh Allen enters his fifth season in Buffalo as the Bills unquestioned leader and one of the NFL’s rising young stars.

He’s rewritten many of the franchise’s single-season passing and scoring records and was rewarded with a lucrative contract that makes him the team’s top-paid player while boosting his celebrity status around town and beyond.

For all that’s changed for the raw and unproven player Allen was when the Bills drafted him in 2018 out of Wyoming, the 26-year-old is credited for being much the same person he was growing up in Firebaugh, California.
