The Chadron High softball team rolled to a sweep of first year program Bayard on Thursday night at home.

Kinley Richarsdon and Cali Hendrickson each went 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored in a 14-4 4-inning win in the opener. The Cardinals only outhit Bayard 5-4 but took advantage of 11 walks.

Ember Diers drove in 3 runs while Meradith Rhembrandt and Maci Rutledge accounted for 2 RBI’s a piece in the 2nd game, a 17-2 win in 2.5-innings. Again Chadron had just 5 hits, but 10 walks helped the Cards stay busy on the base paths.

Chadron will travel to McCook this weekend for tournament action.
