Scottsbluff Inn manager arrested on drug, weapon, child abuse charges
A motel manager in the Panhandle was arrested this week on multiple charges.
SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. -- A motel manager in the Panhandle was arrested this week on multiple charges.
On Tuesday evening at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers with the Scottsbluff Police Department served a search warrant on Garrett Cunningham, the manager of the Scottsbluff Inn, at his living quarters in the motel.
When Cunningham was contacted, children were present, authorities said. SPD stated that one of the children advised an officer that Cunningham was using drugs in the bathroom.
Officers searched the area and reportedly found a handgun and several pills, which were suspected to have contained fentanyl.
Cunningham is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and child abuse.
