Bayard Sweeps to MAC Volleyball Title

BRIDGEPORT – The Bayard volleyball team extended their record to 26-1, and their win streak to thirteen games, as they sweep their way to a Minuteman Activities Conference tournament championship Saturday at Bridgeport High School. The class C-2 number 10 ranked Tigers didn’t drop a set on the day, beating Leyton 25-19, 25-18 in the championship.
The Tigers were led by junior Dani Harter, who had 19 kills while hitting .342 for the tournament. Junior Danika Hassle had 16 kills in on the day on .368 hitting. Senior Kierra Miller finished the tournament with 54 assists.
Garden County finished in third place with a win over Potter-Dix, 25-27, 25-23, 25-23. South Platte beat Creek Valley 25-21, 25-19 for fifth place while Minatare knocked off Banner County, 25-15, 25-19 for seventh place.
