COLORADO SPRINGS -- October 17, 2022 -- Chadron State College senior placekicker Gunnar Jones is the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for October 17, in an announcement at RMACSports.org on Monday.

Jones booted twin field goals of 57 yards on Saturday against Adams State. Both tied the school record held by Hall of Famer Aaron Turner since 2000, and they are the longest in NCAA Divisions I or II so far this season.

He also scored on a 35-yarder, into a strong headwind, and he put a pair of extra points through, giving him 11 of the Eagles' 29 points in a 29-27 final where every kick mattered.

Jones also had six kickoffs for 350 yards, as well as one 54-yard punt.

Turner's record was also set on Elliott Field against the Grizzlies.
