'Stronger Together' keeps Sidney busy

'Stronger Together' shop local event draws shoppers to local businesses.

Local shopping event in Sidney Saturday, Nov. 26

The Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce's "Stronger Together" shop local program brought people out to local businesses Nov. 26. 

The event started at the Fox Theatre where participants were offered a bag of gifts and coupons for local businesses. This year's event also included a Poker Run. Purchase from participating businesses and receive a card. The person who turns in the best hand receives a prize. 

The day also included a craft fair at the Elks Lodge and a soup and grilled cheese lunch was offered.

The Fox Theatre also offered a free movie that afternoon.

Monday afternoon, Cheyenne County Chamber President/CEO Toshia Jones drew the winners of the Poker run. Jennifer Sukup won the $250 basket from Dudes Steak House and Sharon Riley won the gift certificate from Winners.
