SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - The City of Scottsbluff and City of Gering will be seeking a new finance director.

Liz Loutzenhiser will be leaving the City of Scottsbluff on Sept. 30 to pursue a new job. Her departure will have both the City of Scottsbluff and the City of Gering looking for a new director. Loutzenhiser served as the financial director for Scottsbluff for eight years and as the acting finance director for Gering since 2021.

“Liz has us in really great shape, I think we will be attractive to a lot of people who do this type of work,” Scottsbluff City Manager Kevin Spencer said.

Currently the City of Scottsbluff and the City of Gering are offering applications that can be picked up or done online with the application for Scottsbluff being found here and the application for Gering being found here. The cities will be accepting applications until Aug. 25 at 4 p.m. If people have questions, the City of Scottsbluff can be contacted at 308-632-4136 and the City of Gering can be contacted at 308-436-5096.
