The Kimball City Council is set to meet Tuesday, August 15th for a regular meeting and a budget workshop. While the budget has, and will, receive plenty of discussion, it it a different item from the agenda headlining the meeting.

Ordinance 824: Interfering with a police officer will be considered at the meeting. A public hearing on the ordinance aimed at making it easier to identify suspects in criminal cases will be held right before the vote.

Citizen Judith Beatty has requested a discussion on Ordinance 799. That ordinance deals with 5th wheel and RV habitation.

Another hot button issue on the agenda is a four way stop at Chestnut St and 2nd St for traffic calming and safety purposes.

The council will also discuss the approval of a Business Infrastructure Grant for Woody's Liquor and approve Micah Neill's, Zelle contract for 2023-2024 Human Resources services.

After these issues receive discussion, the council will receive a draft of the general budget. The budget workshop will offer citizens a chance to be heard on the budget before it is passed.
