Tuesday brings another opportunity for Kimball residents to speak about the budget

Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. Chairman Jim Cederberg will call the Board of Public Works to order for a budget workshop. The meeting will take place in city council chambers and is open to the public.
In addition to discussion of fees and the budget with public input welcome, the capital improvement plan that would potentially spend $64 million over the next 10 years on Kimball public works projects will be reviewed. There will be current business to handle as well.
The board will discuss and could approve Owner's Engineering's proposal from Olson Electric Engineering for the power plant. They must also discuss and possibly approve the invoice from Hydra-Stop for water valves to restock the water department.Western Environmental Services and Testing has brought forward a quote for compliance testing for emissions at the power plant, that will receive discussion as well.
This meeting will prepare the Board of Public Works for their upcoming joint session with the Kimball City Council to hold another budget workshop.
