The Nebraska State Patrol said they and the Box Butte County Sheriff’s Office were sent to Highway 2, multiple miles east of Alliance, at 9:45 a.m. MT on Tuesday for a report of a two-vehicle crash.

Officials said a Subaru Outback was going west on Highway 2 and a semi tractor-trailer was going east at the same time. The Subaru was reportedly believed to have crossed the center line and hit the semi.
