KIMBALL, Neb -- The tarmac at the Kimball Municipal Airport was transformed into a law enforcement training course Wednesday. An Emergency Vehicles Operations Course was setup between the terminal and the large hangars at the east in of the property.

This course was designed to help law enforcement practice pursuits. All personnel and vehicles from the Kimball Police Department were involved in the training.

EVOC's like the one setup Wednesday can train emergency responders on complex pursuit techniques like pit maneuvers but are also used for basic training, learning how to safely stop and collision avoidance techniques.

The Kimball Police Department will also have two less lethal weapons trainings this summer. Other agencies are expected to be in town for those events.
