Region 22 Emergency Management reports tornado, high wind damage in Scotts Bluff County
SCOTTS BLUFF COUNTY -- Firefighters and first responders responded to reports of an EF-1 tornado and hail in parts of the county June 20.
SCOTTS BLUFF COUNTY -- On Thursday, June 20, an EF-1 Tornado, straight-line winds and hail affected parts of Scotts Bluff County.

Reports started coming in at about 2:30 p.m. of strong winds that peaked 100 mph, and a tornado touching down. Hail was reported in the Scottsbluff area to be golf ball to softball-sized in diameter.
There was major damage to several primary homes, and destruction of power poles and out-buildings. There have been no reports of injuries from this weather event. Power outages occurred on June 20 and repairs are still on-going.
Region 22 Emergency Management is partnering with the affected cities, villages and public power districts to send damage assessments and other reports to the state. Updates can be found on the Region 22 Emergency Management Facebook page.
Local responders quickly assisted in rescues and life safety measures during this event.
