Kimball to celebrate Fourth of July

Gotte Park and the Swimming Pool will be the hub of Fourth of July celebrations on Thursday.

KIMBALL -- Gotte Park and the Swimming Pool will be the hub of Fourth of July celebrations on Thursday. 

The Kimball Fire Department will be at Gotte Park from 10 a.m. - noon giving rides around the park on the firetrucks. 

The fire department will also put on a firework show for the city starting about 9:30 p.m. or when it first gets dark and goes on until about midnight. The fireworks will be set off at Horseshoe Hill. The best spot to see the firework show is the high school football field. 

The Kimball Police Department will also have a patrol car for kids to see and get police department stickers. 

The City of Kimball is hosting a Pool Party open to everyone for free. The party will be from noon – 4 p.m. and will include games, prizes, raffles, soda and ice cream. Jay Allen with104.3KIMB will provide music and serve hot dogs.
