Hockett, Luke Mills close out 2024 Downtown Sounds season

SIDNEY -- The final performance of the Downtown Sounds concert series rocked the streets with the sounds of Luke Mills and Hockett.

Downtown Sounds drew a large crowd for the third of three free concerts this summer.

Hockett started the night with his modern twist to the country music genre, blending elements of traditional country with contemporary pop and rock influences. The energetic stage performance won't be forgotten.

Mills' stop in Sidney is part of his final tour for the foreseeable future. He is a star in the Heartland Country music scene, known for his powerful voice, heartfelt lyrics, and dynamic stage presence.

Nashville recording artist B.J. Jamison and No. 1 Billboard selling country artist, and host of "Hoge Wild" on the Sportsman Channel, Lucas Hoge opened the summer performances on Friday, June 21.

Jamison, a powerful performer with a magnetic stage presence from Arnold, Neb., released his new single "The Note" earlier this year. The song was written and produced by Nashville songwriter Dave Gibson. Jamison has a unique and infectious energy to the stage that leaves audiences captivated by his soulful vocals ranging from blues and rock to folk and country.

Hoge is a multi-talented artist known for his powerful voice, impressive musicianship, and engaging live performances. He's carved a niche for himself in the music industry, earning accolades and recognition for his songs and dynamic stage presence.

Mud County, from northeast Colorado, and red dirt country artist formerly of Iliff, Colo. Braydon Zink were on stage for the second free concert on Friday, July 19. 

Mud County is a regional band known for their electrifying performances and dynamic stage presence, bringing unforgettable performances with foot-stomping anthems and infectious energy to Sidney, Chappell, Potter and the surrounding area. 

Zink returned to Downtown Sounds from Texas with his distinctive sound and raw talent. With influences ranging from traditional country to modern rock, produces honest lyrics, soulful vocals, and infectious charisma have earned him a dedicated fan base and widespread acclaim.
