Burglary attempt at Sidney McDonald’s ends with arrest

SIDNEY - The Sidney Police Department responded to an incident at McDonald’s on Glover Road late Sunday evening.

Around 5:16 p.m., officers were dispatched to the fast-food restaurant following a report of a robbery in progress. Upon arriving, officers quickly took the identified male suspect and placed him custody without further incident. His name has not been released by authorities.

According to a statement from the department, the suspect appeared to be confused and told officers he believed he had "won the game" and was trying to claim his cash prize.

No injuries were reported.
