KIMBALL -- Kimball Health services is hosting its first blood drive in its new facility.

KHS partnered with West Nebraska Blood Center in Scottsbluff to organize a blood drive tomorrow, Oct. 1 from 7:30 – noon at the Kimball hospital.

Kimball Health Services HR Director Stephanie Pedersen says your donation could save a life.

It’s preferred if people make an appointment beforehand, but there is still quite a bit of openings available from 8 – noon, and they are scheduled every 15 minutes.

“Typically blood donations are down, so it’s important to donate because you’ll never know when you’ll need it,” Pedersen said.

The blood donations get sent to Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

If you’d like to sign up, contact Stephanie Pedersen at 308-235-1974.

The City of Kimball is also partnering with Vitalant to host a blood drive at The Sagebrush on Oct. 7 from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.
