Wauneta firefighters respond to early morning structure fire

Wauneta, Imperial and Palisade firefighters responded to a structure fire in Wauneta early January 22.

WAUNETA, Neb. -- The Wauneta Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at about 4 a.m. today.

Firefighters arrived to a building fully involved in flames.  Imperial and Palisade firefighters and Wauneta EMS also responded.

No one was at the residence at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported, according to Wauneta Fire Chief Tanner Bardsley.

Businesses and Wauneta residents provided first responders with coffee, food and a place out of the cold, Bardsley said.
