SEDGWICK COUNTY, Colo. -- Sedgwick County department heads were alerted early Wednesday morning, March 26, of a possible incident involving the County's human resources and payroll program, Isolved.

Initial reports indicated several employees had received messages advising of updated personal identifiable information, PII. At this time, employees were advised to check their accounts and update passwords.

At about 3 p.m. Wednesday, Concentric, Inc., the County’s IT service provider confirmed the County's system was compromised.

“The payroll system was compromised due to a cyber security incident. We are actively investigating the breach and taking immediate action to mitigate any further risks,” the company said.

“Our IT team is actively assessing the impact of this incident and implementing additional security measures to protect our systems,” said Commissioner Chairman, Ron Berges.

At no time throughout this ongoing investigation does it appear as though the payroll system, Isolved, itself was responsible for the security release. No other information is available as to what employee information may have been accessed from the attack at this time.
