The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a 
 
* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... 
 Southern Logan County in northeastern Colorado... 
 Northeastern Washington County in northeastern Colorado... 
 
* Until 845 PM MDT. 
 
* At 806 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 
 6 miles south of Iliff to 4 miles northwest of Merino, or along a 
 line from 7 miles northeast of Sterling to 13 miles southwest of 
 Sterling, moving southeast at 35 mph. 
 
 HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and small hail. 
 
 SOURCE...Radar indicated. 
 
 IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to 
          mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. 
 
* Locations impacted include... 
 Sterling, Merino, Atwood, Burdett, Prewitt Reservoir, Logan 
 Corners, Padroni, North Sterling Reservoir, St Petersburg, Lone 
 Star, Willard, Pawnee Pass and Reiradon Hill. 
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... 
 
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure 
and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing 
widespread damaging winds. 
 
Wind damage with these storms may occur before any rain or 
lightning. Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. 
Seek shelter immediately inside a sturdy structure and stay away 
from windows. 
 
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM MDT Friday for a 
portion of northeast Colorado.
