Listeners of 987 The Big Boy will have the chance to win cash this October with the station’s newest radio contest, "Secret Sound," presented Dickey & Associates Auctioneers.

The jackpot starts at $100 on Monday, Oct. 6 and grows by $9.87 with each incorrect guess through Oct. 31. Listeners are invited to tune in weekdays at 6:40 and 9:40 a.m. for the call-in cue. The 9th caller to (308) 254-5804 will win a prize from a participating sponsor and have one chance to correctly identify the snippet of an everyday sound.

If the caller guesses correctly, they win the entire jackpot. If they’re wrong, the money carries over until the sound is solved.

To add to the suspense, the station will release clues later in the month. Clues, along with previous guesses, will be available at participating sponsor locations.

The contest includes a special twist on “Free Money Mondays,” when the money entered into the jackpot doubles. A complete list of contest rules can be found at thebigboy987.com.

Dickey & Associates Auctioneers Secret Sound - with support from Carpet Comfort Center, Sedgwick County Health Center, Financial Partners, Pedalers Corner, Fanny's Farmhouse and Bug Off Pest Control - will be featured exclusively on The Big Boy through the end of October.
