GERING – The Heirloom Market returned to the Five Rocks Amphitheater this weekend for its ninth annual event, drawing hundreds of shoppers and more than 100 vendors to the theme of “Camp Heirloom.”
The two-day market began Friday with 400 presold VIP tickets and continued Saturday with food trucks, live music, and a mix of handmade goods, vintage finds and boutique vendors.
Organizers say the event has outgrown its previous locations in Bridgeport and Bayard, finding a home in Gering.
“I get kind of emotional once we’re all settled in and the VIPs come through,” Organizer Tonia Verbeck said. “Just to see it all come together, see the smiles on the shoppers’ faces and the vendors are all thrilled to be here in beautiful weather. It’s incredible.”
Vendors echoed the sentiment. Representatives from Just Friends Vintage, from Highlands Ranch, Colo. said, “We just enjoy the ambiance out here. Get away from the big city. It’s really nice out here. They do a great job. Tonia is wonderful.”
Organizers are already looking forward to the 10th annual event, which will return to Five Rocks Amphitheater in 2026.
