Sterling police recover stolen property, arrest two in connection with storage unit burglaries

Sterling police say two people were arrested and stolen property recovered after officers executed a search warrant linked to recent storage unit burglaries.

STERLING, Colo. — Two people were taken into custody Wednesday after the Sterling Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) executed a search warrant tied to a series of recent storage unit burglaries.

Officers served the warrant in the 1200 block of Hamilton Street, where investigators said numerous stolen items were recovered. Additional property was located at two other search sites connected to the case, according to police.

Authorities said two suspects were arrested, and another is expected to be taken into custody soon. The recovered items are being processed and returned to their rightful owners.

All individuals involved remain innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
