Ogallala authorities seek suspect in Bomgaars boot theft

Tri-County Crime Stoppers is looking for help identifying a man who walked out of the Ogallala Bomgaars wearing stolen boots. A reward of up to $1,000 is available for anonymous tips leading to an arrest and conviction.

OGALLALA, Neb. - Tri-County Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who stole a pair of boots from Bomgaars in Ogallala on Sunday afternoon.

According to Crime Stoppers, the theft occurred between 1:17 p.m. and 1:25 p.m. on Nov. 16. An unidentified man entered the store, went to the footwear section and removed security tags from a pair of boots. The man then put the boots on, placed the shoes he had been wearing into his pockets and walked out of the store without paying.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for anonymous information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
