Leyton splits games with Sedgwick County
Leyton was led by junior Calvin Borgmann who finished with 28 of the 61 points the Warriors had to top the Cougars 61-49.

DALTON – The Lady Cougars got things started Tuesday night with a 60-11 win over Leyton, led by senior Lainee Nein who finished with a game-high 23 points—18 of which came in the first half.
Junior Ryen Carlson added 15 points, including 11 in the opening quarter, and sophomore Addison Renquist chipped in 8.
Sedgwick County forced 20 turnovers, knocked down six three-pointers, and shot 3-of-8 from the free throw line.
Leyton was led by senior Macey Roelle, who scored 6 points and went 4-of-6 from the line.
Sophomore Auvi Cranmore added 5 points.
The Lady Warriors hit one three-pointer and went 4-of-10 from the free throw line.
On the boys’ side, Leyton picked up a 61-49 win over the Cougars, powered by junior Calvin Borgmann’s 28-point night. Borgmann knocked down seven three-pointers and went 3-of-4 from the line.
Junior Austin Beutler added 15 points—six of which came late in the fourth quarter—while senior Kaleb Miller scored 8.
The Warriors hit a total of nine threes and shot 6-of-11 from the charity stripe.
Sedgwick County was led by sophomore Noah Harens with 22 points, 14 of which came in the second half.
Senior Tate Renquist added 16 points, including two three-pointers.
The Cougars shot 7-of-15 from the line and hit four three-pointers.
With the results, the Lady Warriors fall to 4-12, while the boys improve to 12-5. Both teams will host Creek Valley on February 6. The Lady Cougars move to 10-3 on the season, while the boys drop to 4-9 and will face Merino (CO) on February 6.
