SUV driver pronounced dead after collision with semi on Highway 15

HARTINGTON, Neb. — A South Dakota man has died after a crash involving a pickup and an SUV.

It happened Tuesday evening along state Highway 15, a few miles north of Laurel.

The Cedar County Sheriff’s Office says a northbound pickup collided with a semi hauling scrap iron that was backing into a driveway.

The driver of the SUV, 50-year-old Ryan Sevening of Vermillion, was pronounced dead at the scene.

There has been no update on the condition of the semi driver.
