Scottsbluff family safe after garage fire Sunday evening

The Scottsbluff Fire Department quickly extinguished a garage fire on Sunday evening.

SCOTTSBLUFF - The Scottsbluff Fire Department quickly extinguished a garage fire on Sunday evening. 

The fire department said the fire that occurred at the 1900 block of East 32nd Street is believed to be started by a battery charger in the garage attached to the house. 

Captain Ryan Lohr says there were no injuries to the family of seven and their two dogs. All family members were able to get out of the house safely. However, the family did lose their pet hedgehog.
