SIDNEY - An annual cruise through downtown Sidney will help kickoff summer vacation in early June.

Radio stations 987 The Big Boy and Cheyenne County Country announced they'll host the 23rd Annual Cruisin' Night on Friday, June 2 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. along Illinois Street.

Cars, truck, SUVs, motorcycles, hot rods, rust buckets, and other street legal vehicles are permitted to enjoy a ride down the Lincoln Highway (Hwy. 30) through the historic downtown district while listening to oldies music from the 1950s and 1960s on the radio at 98.7 FM, 95.7 FM and 1340 AM. Music and programming will also be available on thebigboy987.com and the free News Channel Nebraska app.

Radio station staff will hand out prizes from participating businesses from their broadcast position at the intersection of 10th Ave. and Illinois St. They'll also announce the "Off the Rails" grand prize listeners can win this summer on 987 The Big Boy and Cheyenne County Country.

There's no registration or fee to attend Cruisin' Night. All are welcome to either drive through downtown or sit along the sidewalk to take in all the cruisers and enjoy concessions from businesses and organizations.

Everyday traffic laws apply.
