Driver cited in rollover accident

SCOTTSBLUFF -- At 6:42 a.m. today Tuesday October 31, the Scottsbluff Police Department, Scottsbluff Fire Department, and Valley Ambulance were dispatched to an injury accident in the intersection of Fifth Avenue and East 20th Street.

Investigation revealed that a Silver 2009 Acura driven by Valerie Robles, 71 of Scottsbluff, was northbound on 5th Ave. A white 2023 Explorer, driven by Galen Larson, 65 of Scottsbluff, was eastbound on East 20th Street. The Acura failed to stop at a red light at the intersection and collided with the passenger side of the Explorer. The Explorer then rolled three-quarters and ended up on its side. Robles, G. Larson, and passenger Kathern Larsen, 64 of Scottsbluff, were all transported to Regional West Medical Center to be treated for injuries.

Robles was cited for a traffic light violation and no seat belt.
