SIDNEY -- The Cheyenne County Rotary Club is proud to announce its future role as the official operator of the local Southern Nebraska Panhandle Toys for Tots program, beginning in 2025.

This cherished holiday tradition will remain in the capable hands of the Gudahl family for the 2024 season, as they continue their incredible work of bringing joy to children in need. For many years, the Gudahl family has devoted their time, energy, and hearts to ensuring the success of the Toys for Tots program in Cheyenne County.

Their dedication has made an immeasurable impact on countless families, and the Rotary Club is deeply honored to build on their legacy in the years to come.

"We are truly grateful to the Gudahl family for their extraordinary commitment to our community and for their willingness to guide us through this transition," said Dr. Shelby Rookstool, Club President Elect. "They will remain actively involved, generously sharing their expertise and passion to help us carry this program forward."

The Rotary Club will begin working alongside the Gudahl family this year, with a team of enthusiastic volunteers learning the ins and outs of the program to ensure a seamless transition. This collaboration will allow the Club to preserve the program's spirit while expanding its reach to support even more children in the future.

The Toys for Tots program collects new, unwrapped toys and distributes them to children who may otherwise go without during the holiday season.

The Rotary Club is committed to continuing this important work and invites the community to join in by donating, volunteering, or spreading the word. Together, we can ensure every child experiences the joy of the holiday season.
