LINCOLN - The Nebraska School Activities Association released the brackets for the Boys State Basketball Championships, set for March 12-15 in Lincoln. Among the teams headed to the capital are Sidney, Ogallala and Scottsbluff.

The Red Raiders (18-8) return to state for the first time since 2023, marking the Red Raiders' 42nd appearance in program history. Sidney last won a state title in 1981 and last reached the finals in 2015. The sixth-seeded Red Raiders will face No. 3 Concordia (21-4) in the Class C1 quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 12 at 2:15 p.m. MDT at the Devaney Center.

Ogallala (24-1) enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed in Class C1. The Indians, who have never won a state title, will take on seventh-seeded Doniphan-Trumbull (18-6) in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 12 at 12: 30 p.m. MDT at the Devaney Center. Ogallala has won three state trophies since 2019, including a runner-up finish in 2020.

Scottsbluff (23-3) secured its spot in Class B as the No. 2 seed. The Bearcats, state champions in 2012, will open the tournament against No. 7 Gretna East (17-7) on Thursday, March 13 at 5 p.m. MDT at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Scottsbluff is making its fourth straight trip to state. The Bearcats' last state trophy was a runner-up finish in 2017.

State championship games are set for Saturday, March 15.
