Stacey Diane Mills, formerly of Sidney, a radiant light in the lives of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, in Azle, Texas, surrounded by her beloved family. She was 50 years old.

Born on December 18, 1974, in Denver, Colorado, Stacey was the treasured daughter of Bob and the late Sharon Hoyt. From a young age, Stacey exuded warmth, curiosity, and an unwavering spirit that would come to define the remarkable woman she became. Raised with strong values and surrounded by love, she carried that foundation with her throughout her life—anchoring her family, friends, and colleagues with grace and devotion.

Stacey graduated from Columbine High School and went on to earn her degree from Colorado State University in 1997, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with dual majors in Journalism and Business Administration. Her intelligence, drive, and passion for storytelling launched her into a brilliant career. In June of 1997, Stacey began her professional journey with Accenture—a path that would span nearly three decades. Throughout her tenure, she was a beacon of dedication, integrity, and excellence. Colleagues and clients alike were drawn to her thoughtful leadership, collaborative nature, and an unwavering can-do spirit. Even in her final days, Stacey continued to work, embodying commitment, resilience, and quiet strength until the very end.

But Stacey's most profound legacy was not found in her accolades or professional success—it was in the love she gave and the relationships she nurtured. In 1998, she married the love of her life, Ramsey Mills, and together they built a life full of shared dreams, laughter, and deep, abiding love. Their union was a true partnership, marked by mutual admiration and unwavering support. Together, they raised two extraordinary children, Abbey Kaye and Helton Robert, who were the center of Stacey’s universe. She poured her heart into motherhood—offering boundless encouragement, unconditional love, and a gentle guiding hand. Her devotion to her children was unmatched, and her presence will forever live on in their hearts.

Stacey was a woman of extraordinary courage. For 13 years, she faced a relentless battle against breast cancer with remarkable strength, dignity, and grace. She became a source of inspiration to all who witnessed her journey—never allowing the illness to dim her light or shake her resolve. Her resilience was a quiet force, one that uplifted those around her and offered a blueprint of hope, perseverance, and dignity.

A lifelong lover of sports, Stacey never missed a game—especially when her children were competing. She cheered with fierce pride, even while undergoing treatment, and remained a steadfast supporter of her beloved Colorado Rockies, through wins and losses alike. Her loyalty, passion, and boundless energy touched every corner of her life.

Stacey’s heart was open and generous. She gave 100% of herself in everything she did—personally and professionally. She was a loyal friend, a wise mentor, and a joyful presence in every space she entered. Her laughter, empathy, and quiet confidence brought comfort and light to countless lives.
