Sweet Ice officially opens storefront doors
Sweet ice confections, "Dirty sodas," and fresh-baked cookies are now available at Sweet Ice's new street location in Sidney.
By News Channel NebraskaSIDNEY -- For anyone with a sweet tooth, or a curiosity of flavor combinations, Sweet Ice has a permanent location added to their business.
"It feels great, and exhausting. It's been a lot of late nights getting it built up, but it's been awesome: energizing," Keith Grunig said.
In May of this year, Madison and Keith Grunig announced plans to include a storefront in their business plan.
The street location, 1605 10th Ave Sidney, offers the wide variety of drinks and ice confections they are known for, and fresh-baked treats.
Friday’s celebration marked about four days Sweet Ice with a location on 10th Avenue.
The grand opening included samples of the monster cookie, brownies, and sugar cookies with homemade frosting.
The Sweet Ice journey started with purchasing the business from a friend. They took the Sweet Ice product on the road, bringing their sweetness to fairs and community events.
They plan to continue the mobile service while serving at the 1605 10th Ave. Location.
