Longtime Scotts Bluff Cuunty dispatcher Nancy Neal retires after more than 36 years of service

After more than three decades behind the headset, longtime dispatcher Nancy Neal is retiring from the Scotts Bluff County Communications Center.

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - After more than three decades serving as a steady voice during emergencies, Nancy Neal has retired from the Scotts Bluff County Communications Center.

Neal’s retirement marks the end of a 36½-year career spent answering calls, dispatching first responders and providing calm direction during some of the most critical moments faced by residents across Scotts Bluff County.

Colleagues described Neal as a constant presence behind the scenes who's dedication extended beyond the headset. She's known for her professionalism, composure and willingness to mentor new dispatchers entering the field.

Neal officially began her retirement this week.

Those at the communications center thanked Neal for her years of service and wished her well as she begins the next phase of her life.
