Town board seeking four trustees, mayor candidates

The town of Sedgwick, Colo., is seeking candidates for four trustee positions and mayor. Election packets will be available January 6 at the Town Hall.

SEDGWICK, Colo. -- The town of Sedgwick recently announced it is seeking four trustees and mayor candidates for the April 2026 election.

Mayor Danny Smith (four-year term), Peggy Owens (four-year term), Roger Munson (four-year term), Bailey Nall (four-year term), and Jaime Anchondo (two-year term) are up for re-election. The two-year term is due to designation of a trustee to complete a previous resignation.

If interested in seeking election, the intent letter and packets for collecting signatures will be available at the Town Hall beginning January 6. Packets are due back to the Town Hall by 3:30 p.m. January 27.

To qualify, a candidate must be a citizen of the United States and registered elector of the Town of Sedgwick. Each candidate must have been a resident of Sedgwick for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the election, and for the duration of the term of office.
