LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska's comeback bid fell short on Tuesday night as #13 Purdue tops #7 Nebraska 80-77 in overtime.

Purdue jumped out to a 14-1 lead in the first three minutes of the game and would lead by 16 at the half. Nebraska would erase a 22-point deficit in the second half, to force overtime after ending regulation on a 15-1 run.

The Huskers had a chance to potentially win the game in regulation with a Rienk Mast and-1 free throw, but he would miss, leading to overtime.

Purdue would survive in OT to stave off Nebraska's bid at a comeback.

Purdue was led in scoring by Fletcher Loyer with 18, while Rienk Mast also had 18 for Nebraska.

With the loss, Nebraska falls to 21-3 and hosts Northwestern on Saturday.
