SIDNEY, Neb. — Savor & Grace in downtown Sidney is entering a new chapter as Amber Scott Fields takes over ownership of the specialty food and cheese shop.

Former owner Jill Sauder announced the transition in a social media post, expressing confidence in Fields and her daughter, Kristina Davis, who will serve as manager.

“From our family to theirs,” Sauder wrote. “Savor & Grace’s future looks really good with Amber Scott Fields as the new owner and her daughter, Kristina Davis, stepping in as the official ‘Manager Queen.’”

Sauder said she has known Fields for years and praised her work in the community, particularly through her business, Safe At Home.

“She is truly a pillar in this community, generous with her time, her resources and her heart,” Sauder wrote.

Davis, a Sidney native, recently returned to the area after living in the Rocky Mountains. Sauder said she was immediately impressed.

“Within ten minutes of meeting her, I knew Savor & Grace was in the best hands,” Sauder wrote. “She’s smart, creative and vibrant.”

Sauder said the transition has felt well-timed and meaningful.

“I truly could not have hand-picked better women to carry this business forward,” she wrote. “It’s been beautiful to witness.”

Sauder said she plans to remain involved for several weeks to ensure a smooth transition and maintain the quality customers have come to expect.

“I’ve been asked to stick around for a few weeks to ensure a smooth transition and to make sure you continue receiving the same quality ingredients and love you’ve come to expect,” Sauder wrote.

Sauder concluded her announcement by thanking the Sidney community for its support.

“Thank you all for loving this shop and for giving Zaire and me the community we needed,” she wrote. “You have meant more to us than you know.”

Future updates and direction for Savor & Grace will come under Davis’ leadership in the coming days.
