Kimball County tornado siren testing to begin

Tornado siren testing is conducted every Wednesday through October.

KIMBALL -- The Kimball County Sheriff’s Office will begin the weekly tornado siren testing at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 25. 

This test will last approximately one minute. An outside siren will sound in Bushnell, Kimball and Dix every Wednesday at 10 a.m. The tests are conducted through the last Wednesday of September.

The purpose of these tests is to ensure the sirens are in proper working order in case the time comes that they are needed for a real emergency.
