2020 Night of Hope Walk in Sidney Canceled
SIDNEY, NE - There will not be a Night of Hope Walk in Sidney this year.

The Night of Hope Board of Directors met last night to discuss this year's event and made the decision to cancel the event.
The walk was scheduled for August 14.
"It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that this year's walk has been cancelled," the group's statement reads.
The organizers noted that this event has people that are at high risk to COVID-19 attend. They say they felt the risk was too great to leave to chance.
The event's board of directors encourage people to find other ways to support cancer patients, such as holding a virtual walk or a smaller event with family.
"Night of Hope will continue to be here for the cancer patients in our community to offer them financial assistance when needed. Donations can be made at anytime throughout the year," the directors said in their statement.
The Night of Hope board is looking for volunteers who would be interested in helping to plan the 2021 walk.
