DALTON - Leyton jumped out to a 36-0 lead in the first two quarters Thursday night and the Warriors improved to 3-0 this season with a 62-21 victory over Peetz at Leyton High School in Dalton.

Junior Justin Ernest had a game-high 13 points to lead the Warriors. Senior Scout Gamble added 12 points and junior Dillon Juelfs chipped in 11.

The Warriors forced 26 turnovers in the first half.

The Bulldogs (1-3) were led by six points from sophomores Noah Naegele and Aiden Hill. Peetz was playing without their starting point guard, Chance Segelke, due to an illness. Hill got into foul trouble early in the first quarter.

Leyton will be in Big Springs on Friday to play South Plate in a girl/boy doubleheader. Peetz will be at Haxtun next Thursday.

NOTE: There was no girls game Thursday, due to Peetz High School not having a girls varsity team.
