KIMBALL - A strong snow storm that hit Wyoming late last week still wreaked havoc on travelers through the weekend.

Gusty winds created blizzard conditions, closed roads and filled services in cities like Cheyenne on Saturday night.

Commercial truck traffic on Interstate 80 and Highway 30 was being restricted from entering the state at the Nebraska-Wyoming border Saturday night. Transportation officials in both states were advising semi-tractor-trailer truck drivers to adjust routes accordingly. Interstate 76 in Colorado remains open.

I-80 was closed from west of Cheyenne to the Utah border. I-25 was closed from Wheatland to Cheyenne. Several other highways across southern and southeast Wyoming were closed Saturday night.

According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation, the restrictions and road closures were expected to last through midday Sunday.

A portion of I-80 near Arlington and Elk Mountain remains in a blizzard warning through 5 a.m. Sunday. The majority of the state is in a high wind warning until 5 a.m. Sunday.
