Sheridan County Commissioner Loren Paul Passes At Age 80

Sheridan County Commissioner Loren Paul of Gordon has died at the age of 80.

Sheridan County Commissioner Loren Paul of Gordon has died at the age of 80.

Paul was born in Gordon and spent his entire life in the area except for his first year out of high school and 4 years in the U-S Navy.

Paul served 2 terms as a Sheridan County Commissioner in the 1990s, then re-entered politics to win a third term in 2018.

A vigil will be held Wednesday at 7:00 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rushville, which will be the location for a Memorial Mass Thursday morning at 10:00. Inurnment will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Gordon.

A memorial has been established for the CARE cancer support program and donations may be sent to the Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home in Gordon.
