ROSCOE, Neb. -- Two people are facing charges after a pursuit in western Nebraska.

The Nebraska State Patrol says it happened Thursday night. A trooper reportedly saw a car with expired plates on Interstate 80 near Roscoe.

Authorities say the trooper tried to pull the car over, but the driver fled.

After several miles, NSP says, the vehicle tried to drive in a field and stopped a short time later.

Keith County deputies found the driver lying in the snow a short time later.

The driver, Chad Green, 46, of North Platte, was transported to Ogallala Community Hospital, where he was medically cleared. He was then lodged in the Keith County Jail for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, obstructing a peace officer, and several traffic violations.

The passenger, William Handy, 42, of Ogallala, was lodged in the Keith County Jail for an outstanding warrant.
