Ground Based Strategic Deterrent project to bring opportunities to Kimball businesses

KIMBALL - Businesses in and around Kimball are being called on to attend a series of Strategic Teaming Alliance Roundtables designed to assist small businesses navigate and make the most of opportunities with the Northrop Grumman's Ground Based Strategic Deterrent project. 

The first of four online roundtables is Thursday at 8 a.m. The next three will be on June 16, September 15 and December 15. The roundtables will be a resource for small businesses to learn how to team up and bid on government contracts available on or near the missile wing Air Force bases. 

Representatives from Northrop Grumman, and contractors who are currently doing business on national projects, will present opportunities at the roundtables.

The city is also working with the Western Nebraska Economic Development on a housing study for the Kimball area. The city is asking community members to fill out the survey online, at the city office, library or courthouse.
